It’s a good day when I receive a new book in the mail. This book came with a request to write a review. Knowing what it all takes to develop and write a book, I gladly took on the task. Sew Classic Clothes for Little Girls, which comes with 20 patterns, is the book child of Lindsay Wilkes, owner of The Cottage Mama. (I wrote “book child” since the book writing process can be compared to childbirth! I digress.)
It’s all about the fabric!
The sewing techniques are not complicated. There are lots of gathers, piping, and most importantly, great ways of combining fabrics. With almost all fabric manufacturers offering fabric collections with multiple coordinating pieces, this book gives you many ways of using fabric as trim.

Thank you for sharing your project ideas that you’d like to make using one of my 12 new Laser Cut Fusible Appliqué designs with The Creative Iron company. The random winner is Deb. She said, I’d use the measure twice, cut once on a tote bag. It’s perfect for taking to sewing guild meetings!
Bye for now,
