It seems I just can’t get enough sewing with knits! My newest knit wardrobe with The McCall Pattern Company is simple to create and will keep you fashionable and comfy. M7548 is a five-piece versatile sportswear collection. Mix and match the five pieces to complete a fantastic wardrobe that’s easy to sew, wears like a dream, and travels well, too. The fabric I chose is a Ponte knit with a touch of Spandex, a medium weight fabric that stitches like a woven, but drapes like a knit. Look for the pattern at your favorite retailer or at Nancy’s Notions.

M7548 aSize ranges available with this collection are from misses sizes 8–24.

Suitable Fabrics—moderate stretch knits (35% crosswise stretch): Ponte knit, cotton knit, novelty knit, fleece.m7548
Mix and Match Styles

Pants E and Top C:  For a casual spring/summer look, pair cropped pants in Style E with a 3/4-length top, Style C in bright moderate-stretch knits.

    These styles are so simple–the best part of sewing knits is all the color choices. Even when you’re not tall and slender, you look neat and comfortable. I always like combo patterns so you can make a complete wardrobe.

    I would love to have that pattern!! I need to learn how to sew knits. I spend most of my time sewing quilts and bags etc. I would love to make that jacket, the tops and skirt. They look so comfortable!! I wear dresses most of time because of their comfort and I can work and the heat escapes where it doesn’t with pants. This would be great to layer up with and take off as needed. I would so love this pattern!!! It looks so neat and comfortable!!!

    I would love to win this pattern. I am so tired of having to buy several different sizes of clothes to just get an outfit together. I sewed knits years ago and must admit it would be a god-send to have an outfit with all these choices. I can also see that the skirt could be made at different lengths. What a great pattern…as a retired lady in the older generation I think todays clothing manufacturers do not even consider our needs.

    I had always sewn for my daughters[including wedding gowns], and then moved on to quilts upon retirement. Recently a fire totally destroyed my home and all I had was my dog and the clothes [pajamas] on my back. EVERYTHING. I was given an old sewing machine and need to make something like this wardrobe so I can return to church, etc. LOVE THIS PATTERN!

    I love this pattern! Nancy it is well designed, looks comfortable, and is verisable. The outfits can be dressed up or go casual. You could add scarves or jewelry. It looks easy and quick to sew. Great for traveling! No wrinkled clothes to unpack! Perfect!

    Thank you for this stylish, but casual pattern that we can dress up or
    dress down with jewellery or scarfs. I really enjoyed sewing with knits up until about 5 yrs ago when I lost my Mom. She was my
    “Nancy” helper when I needed some guidance on sewing. I haven’t
    touched my machine since then until this great pattern appeared!
    Such versatile pieces. Thank you for the encouragement to dust off
    my machine, dig out the yards and yards of fabric that Mom and I had ……and enjoy the sewing and memories that we all love. There

    Sewing with cotton knit fabric is my favorite! I’ve been sewing with knits for over 40 years and am so glad you’re keeping the idea alive. We love to wear our knit garments, so why not learn to sew them. This pattern is a good basic set of garments, which can be made out of color-coordinated fabrics for a complete wardrobe.
