  • Stitch binding in place with a Schmetz Needle, stitching “in the ditch” (where the binding meets the fabric). Or, stitch near the bias tape edge – and you’ll be sure to catch the back of the binding in your stitching line!

  • Trim away excess bias tape. It was great to have the extra “handles” while stitching the bias tape to the pocket top!

I will be trying this clever idea for making bias binding. It seems you can never find pre-made tape in the right color. This looks easier on the finger tips than the old fold and hold technique we have all experienced. Thanks for the chance to win.

I have the full set of the Clover Bias tape makers. I also have a set of “other” bias tape makers and the Clover ones win by a mile – the “other” bias tape makers sometimes allow the fabric to slip such that the bias tape isn’t folded evenly, but the Clover ones work like a charm.

Can the potholder instructions be printed as a hard copy? I’m making 15 potholders from my Mom’s Jean’s for my family. Very interested in a printout of the instructions
