Loved everything you’ve done. I remember when your “catalog” was a folded paper flyer.

I love all three views but my favorite is view A. Its casual look will be cool with jeans and will be a great transitional piece.

I love this style so much, I want to lengthen the “shark bite” style and bling it up (may make a few changes) for my Christmas informal dress. Not unless you have another pattern you would suggest using. Also, I can leave the top as is, bling it up and also put some “fancy pants” under it for the party.
Thanks for the pattern, I love it, plus as I mentioned, with imagination you can also change it up!
Always love your work Nancy Z.!!!!

I have been wanting to make some knit tops like this. I love this style and it difficult to find already made tops in fabrics that I would wear. I hope I win! 🙂

Love this!! I would make View C first and then A. Is the fabric used for C shown on the pattern available on your website? Love it. Thanks for your creative inspiration!!

There are so many great things about this pattern: flattering neckline, sleeve options, fun hemlines, and pockets! I think view A is the one I’ll try first.

    August 31, 2016

I really like the longer more modern hemlines of this simple tee pattern & it has some shaping to flair around the hips creating a mor curvaceous look. I am heavy but I love leggings with long tunic type tops like this. They are so comfy and fit my lifestyle to a tee. Lol

View C is my favorite-love the use of the different colors to accentuate the assymetrical flow of the hemline-just fantastic!

  • Jade

I love the color blocking of view C, but like view A best because I love pockets…how clever, can’t wait to make both!

  • Helen in beautiful Colorado
    August 31, 2016

Nancy, You have come up with another winner. I like view C the best. I will make a muslin first to check the fit and verify my fabric choice. Then, as I am a handweaver, I will weave 3 different colorways of a soft fabric with excellent drape for this pattern. I’m leaning towards using tencel for the sheen and the gorgeous drape. Thanks for the inspiration.

    August 31, 2016

What a great pattern! It looks so stylish and comfortable. Even though I would start with view A, I would definitely make all three versions.

    August 31, 2016

What a great looking top. Sew many options and ideas come to mind, but the most important thing is that it’s a Nancy pattern so I have complete confidence in success without making allowances for the pattern writer!

  • Judy Van Schoyck-Fritschler
    August 31, 2016

I wish this was for woven fabric rather than knit. I’m required to wear T-shirts or polo shirts for work, and would prefer not to spend my off-work hours in yet more knits. Sad, because I do love the style.

  • Sharon E
    August 31, 2016

My favorite is view C. Are you going to suggest a fabric that would work with these styles?

  • Sandra
    August 31, 2016

What a wonderful surprise to see this pattern this mirning. Just what I’ve been looking for. I”ll be shopping on Nancy’s Notions this morning. Since I’m only 5′ tall, I love being able to create this flattering, trending top to fit me perfectly. I will make view C first. Thank you for bringing such wonderful modern patterns to us.

View B will be the first top. All views are cute and look easy to sew. You did a great job Nancy. Pattern style is fun, looks so comfortable-I can’t wait to get these pieces into my wardrobe. Time for some uplifting tops for fall. I’m heading out to look for some fabulous knits such as you have featured. Bye!

  • Janice LaRue
    August 31, 2016

I am pretty tall and some cute tops are just too short on me. These would make great alterations to existing wardrobe malfunctions to make them new and improved! I’m getting this pattern!

  • Arlene Aughey
    August 31, 2016

I just love this style! I think it is flattering on all figure types. I would love to make View C in a darker print for the upcoming Autumn season. I think it would look great over leggings, slacks and a slim skirt – lots of uses!

  • Bonnye
    August 31, 2016

I would make View C. I really like the asymmetrical hemline. It looks good on all body types. I would wear it with slacks.

  • beth d.
    August 31, 2016

I would like to make the 3/4 sleeves tunic top that is long on the side. It would so cute.

I’d make view c as I like the longer sleeves and the color blocking on the bottom.

  • Karen

    I would start with A!

  • Martha Hood
    August 31, 2016

Trying to pick just one – that is hard part- haven’t used knits in a spell- but think my grand daughter would love the A to begin- teenagers – trying to see what they like – love all the ideas you have shown- thanks for all your ideas –

  • Kelly Sas
    August 31, 2016

While I want to make each one, I would start with view A and use the sleeves from C. I love wearing tunics with leggings so this patter is perfect.

  • Patti Rouse
    August 31, 2016

I love view c, perfect for us no so teenager who still love leggings

  • Patti Rouse
    August 31, 2016

I love view c, perfect for us not so teenager who still love leggings

  • Robin
    August 31, 2016

I would make view A but put pockets on each side. I have to have pockets so I have somewhere to put my hands.

  • Fran Johnson
    August 31, 2016

Think I would make C first but with short sleeves. I would probably make all styles with short sleeves. I like long sleeves in Jackets and Sweaters but prefer short sleeves in tops and dresses. Knits are so comfortable. I have added this pattern to my “to buy list” in case I don’t win.

  • Brenda
    August 31, 2016

I love view B. It is completely different from anything I have seen. I love it!

  • Marjory W
    August 31, 2016

I would make View A for myself, but my sister-in-law would look wonderful in View C, so maybe we would make that view for her, Too.

  • Donna Wilson
    August 31, 2016

I would sew view A first for my daughter. She loves clothes with pockets. Nancy, this pattern is trendy, has flowing lines and has pockets which many of us desire.

  • Melody Lema
    August 31, 2016

I would make view C, over and over and over again! I look at that and think of my scraps, and start drooling at what I will do. Since I sew most of my clothes in purple tones, this is perfect for showing off some of my faves in a different way.

  • Sue McCollough
    August 31, 2016

I love the pocket on view A. I always need one for my phone or sewing notions. I would sew all three, I like the borders.

  • Carla Parsons
    August 31, 2016

I like view C. I’d probably have to try them all. They are so nice.

  • Catherine Gregoire

I am a fan of pockets so I would make view A first. This is a cute pattern.

  • Joyce
    August 31, 2016

I love all three, but view C fits my body type. Can’t wait to make it.

  • Michelle Hall
    August 31, 2016

I would probably try view A but leave off the pocket

  • Rebecca Palecki
    August 31, 2016

Oh, where to start! All the tops are great, however, I’d make view C. What fun to color-block with, especially for those smaller yardages of precious expensive knits. I might even try a drapey woven like a challis on the bias for the bottom. Also depending on what type, print or color of knit I use I would get several different “looks” just from using this one view! Add leggings, flats or boots (for winter) and I’m not only looking great for work, but very comfortable!

  • Dianna S. Wassell
    September 1, 2016

All three views are fun, but I like view C best. It is unlike anything I have seen in ready-to-wear, the lines give good camouflage for fuller hips and bottom, and it would be a great way to use small pieces of knits I just could not part with.

  • caru Hack
    September 1, 2016

I absolutely love this. I have lots of leftover knits to mix up in a fun pattern like this one. view C is my favorite. These styles finally make clothes that cover my “pear shape” and keep it stylish and cute!

  • Claudia
    September 1, 2016

I love this style! It looks flattering while still being comfortable. I think I would first do view B.

  • Kate
    September 1, 2016

I really like this pattern, as it very nicely covers my belly and tuschy. I would make View C, but I would probably make the other views too if I could see them made up before I purchased the pattern. I have learned there is a huge difference between a drawing and the sewn and finished product, so I do not buy patterns without seeing them made first.

  • Dara
    September 1, 2016

Not for the pattern, but could we see you measure a “real person” so we can see how you determine what size pattern to buy? Thank you! Happy National Sewing Month!

  • Jodi Bowlden
    September 1, 2016

I like them all! I would start with C. I wonder if one is more flattering on a shorter person.

  • Cindy G
    September 4, 2016

I would try all 3 designs

  • Linda E
    September 5, 2016

I love view C. As a senior citizen I think it would be a fun, youthful looking tunic.

  • Margaret Lawrence
    September 6, 2016

    I love view “C”!

  • Leware Toole
    September 9, 2016

I would love to make view C. If I had the pattern, I would probably end up making all of them—starting with viewC!!!
Here’s hoping I am the Texas winner!!!!

  • Nikki R.
    September 17, 2016

I’d like to make view B first, but view A is very attractive as well. I’m just not sure how well that will work on my pear shaped body. The contrast sleeves seem like a good strategy to draw attention to my shoulders and away from my hips.

  • Jayne
    September 18, 2016

I would love to make view A, but all three views are unique. I’ve been wanting to do more sewing with knits — this would be the perfect project! Thank you!

  • Jayne
    September 18, 2016

I would love to make view A. I’ve been wanting to do more sewing with knits — this would be the perfect project! Thank you!

  • Venera
    September 20, 2016

I would most likely make view B for my granddaughter who is college. Although she is petite, she has the broad shoulders that run in our
family and the shark bite them line would balance her figure. The sleeves would need to be 3/4 to full length. She chills easily. Here in South Dakota we are only a few weeks before our first hard freeze.
I would have to wait and have her opinion on colors. In addition to being in college she is an artist, so the colors need to reflect her style and chosen major.

  • Janice Jones
    October 1, 2016

I like all 3 and I’ll start the C and been looking something like this and I love the way it look! Hope I win one!

  • Stacy
    October 11, 2016

Love this pattern. I can’t wait to purchase it! I’ll be starting with View ‘C’ but will also make the others as I sew for myself and my daughters. Thank goodness I have a serger. Thank you for this latest pattern, I have been a fan for many, many years and I look forward to following your many creative ideas for a long time to come.

I think I would use the pattern to refashion some knit tops and dresses I have. Would start with view A. Thanks

    December 17, 2016

I just love this style and so does my daughter. She came over with a similar top last week and it is flattering so I told her I was going to look for a pattern so I could make some for her. When I seen your blog post I had to check it out and even though I love each style the one I like most is B, that would be my choice. Thank you

  • Janice Hamman
    January 8, 2017

I would love to have this pattern. I’ve been wanting a sweater or top with an asymmetrical hem line, but I’m very short so even the petites are too long for me. With this pattern, I could make adjustments for my height.

  • Lorri Scott
    June 28, 2017

The problem I’m having with the tunic top M 7413, view C is that I don’t know how to sew the three pieces together before sewing them to the bottom of the blouse. Would you please send a diagram of which pieces should be sewn together and how?

  • Paula
    February 13, 2020

Just came across this & love all 3 views. A & C being my favorite. This is the absolutely best look on a wide variety of bodies & allows enough coverage to give any size individual the opportunity to wear leggings.

What a happy accidental search to come across your site! It brought back so many memories watching your show. Thanks for all the great sewing support back then! I’ve recently had some time to sew and saw that cute pattern. I wasn’t surprised to find out it was yours!
