The Christmas Stocking Challenge Voting Day is Here!
In my November 4 Blog Posting, readers were invited to participate in our Christmas Stocking Sewing Challenge. Each participant used a pattern from one of the stocking projects on Pellon’s website or Baby Lock’s website.
To celebrate the start of the Christmas Season, I challenged readers to sew up to three Christmas stockings—using as much creativity as they’d like. As you can see, the sewing creativity is impressive!

Bye for now,
very frustrating – I can’t figure out out to vote and my friends reacted with the same comment. They are all beautiful but this is just too frustrating for words!
HI Kathyrn and anyone who is having difficulty voting. Please email the number you wish to vote for to [email protected] and we’ll enter your vote for you.
I tried twice yesterday to post and it wouldn’t “take.” I cannot figure out how/where to cast a vote. Nowhere do I see a VOTE button.
Hi Janice, Please send the number you wish to vote for to [email protected] and we’ll cast your vote for you.
Could not vote on my I pad.
I chose #24
Thanks for including your vote preference. I’ll cast your vote for #24.
Hi Nancy,
I’ve tried to share the voting link on Facebook ,and it keeps saying-url not found, help!
I absolutely adore boot 17. It is Christmassy.

I copied the entry from your instructions for the Contest. I still don’t understand How the boot meets the criteria from the pellon or baby lock projects. Please explain how only being creative meets the original instructions. Thank you.
Don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I can’t figure out how to vote. I don’t see a VOTE button. I’d like to vote for # 35.
Hi Janice, Thanks for including your vote preference. I’ll cast your vote for #35.
I scrolled this page 3 x and could not find a vote button. I vote for number 34.
Thanks
Boot #1 is very creative, but if it doesn’t meet the guidelines of the contest, WHY IS IT IN COMPETITION???
I’d really like to know why this is an exception.
Thank you!
J
Hi J, I appreciate your comment about the boot. It made me go back to reread the blog. The direction was to sew a Christmas stocking using as much creativity as you’d like. The boot meets that criteria.
The Boot does meet the guideline of being creative.
I too have gone a read the blog on the Christmas Stocking Sewing Challenge Guidelines. Not only does it say to be creative but it also states :
Select your pattern from one of the stocking projects on Pellon’s website or Baby Lock’s website. Search for Christmas Stocking and choose your pattern. (You’ll find two patterns at Pellon’s site and a list of five patterns at Baby Lock’s site.)
Really wish bolding would work to post here.
There were choices of patterns to be used and the Boot is not one of those patterns. Meeting just aportion of the criteria for the contest does not make it equally fair for all participants.. I found several cowboy boot stocking patterns and none of them came from Pellon ot Baby Lock.

I too have read the Christmas Stocking Sewing Challenge Guidelines.
One of the Guidelines states:
Select your pattern from one of the stocking projects on Pellon’s website or Baby Lock’s website. Search for Christmas Stocking and choose your pattern. (You’ll find two patterns at Pellon’s site and a list of five patterns at Baby Lock’s site.)

If only a portion of the Guidelines needs to be met than why have guidelines at all???
Meeting just a portion of the criteria for the contest, does not make this contest fair for all participants that followed ALL the guidelines. If being creative means choose whatever pattern design you want then it should have been stated that way.
Although entry #1 is very nicely done, the challenge guidelines were not followed in selecting a pattern from one of the stocking projects from the one on Pellon’s website or the five on Baby Lock’s website.

They all are beautiful, I vote 17
they are all beautiful. I vote 17 !
All are beautiful ! i vote for 17 !
#26, Most unique and beautiful. So many good ones.
Loved the #1 boot! Want to make it for my friends in Texas, but I can’t locate the pattern on those websites. Help!
The boot is very clever, but this is supposed to be for stockings, not a boot. I voted for boot 46.
They were all beautifully created with much care & creativity….big, big decision but Christ & Christmas is what it is all about in the end so will go with #26
I started to vote for the boot but then this was a Christmas stocking contest. So I voted country for another country stocking. Great entries. Congratulations to all who entered. (Didn’t finish one myself)
I cannot vote. After I pick my choice and push the vote button, a message comes up saying “You have already voted for this poll. Poll ID #4.” But I didn’t vote yet. I tried different links/locations, and also shared it to a friend and she got the same response. I want to vote for #7. Please look into this!
Hi Kirstie, We’ve added your vote to number 7. Not sure why you’re receiving this message, but we’ll look into this. Thanks!
I need one of those cowboy boot stockings! They were all beautiful and it was a tough decision after looking at all of them closely. The workmanship is amazing. There are a lot of lucky people receiving incredible stockings at Christmas this year!!
Very fun to see all the creativity and variety! Good job and congrats to all the entrants!
It was hard to choose. I like them all; very talented and creative sewers. I vote for 9 and 40 & 44 close second. Good luck to all and Merry Christmas!
All are lovely, since I love cowboy boots and riding I picked #1, but all are beautiful and so much time was spent on each one. Merry Christmas to all.
What fun! And how hard it was to choose!
Each one is work of love. They are all C
Each of these shows love for CHRISTMAS
All are gorgeous and very well done. Have to say I think #1 just takes the cake! Would love to have that particular one hanging out waiting for Santa to stop by…
The message of Christmas. Absolutely beautiful all of them.
Much love and detail went into each creation. Hard to decide on just one. Congratulations to all who entered! Would I be permitted to enter the stocking I made for my husband 20 years ago? It’s still hung by the chimney with care each Christmas, alongside the knitted one my mother made for me when I was a child.
Everyone did a great job!
#1 is my favorite because, that is the style I intended to do. I’ve been so busy finishing my Granddaughter’s quilt I’ve not had time to do much else.I hope all of you, including Nancy and staff have an absolutely marvelous Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year! ! !
Blessings, Lorij
Loved all of them!
Lovely stockings. Good luck to all who participated. Happy holidays
BEAUTIFUL!!! All of them! But number 26 is my choice because it speaks about the Reason for the Season. However, number 29 really jumps out as a fantastic and close 2nd.
Wow!! There are a lot of great ones one there but I love the detail work of the tree and the stocking top on 17.
These Christmas stocking are incredible! It is hard to vote for just one, bur I chose #1, as it would fit 3 out of 6 Granddaughters!!! I will have to make them.
All the stockings are beautiful. Good luck to all and a Merry Christmas as well.
I agree with the folks who said it was hard to choose just one!
Wow, what creativity! Love all the different styles.
Love all the stockings. Would like to get pattern for the one I voted on
I wanted to enter, didn’t have time this year I probably will if they do this next year. Amazing Christmas Stockings they are wonderful. Good luck to all.
Each stocking has a definite personality. All are lovely.
Wow! What creativity
Way too difficult to choose. They are all beautiful.
They all are beautiful. #1 speaks to my western heart.
What beautiful stockings! It’s hard to pick just one. Congratulations to all who entered.
