Two of my favorite art quilting teachers, Laura Wasilowski and Frieda Anderson, were part of this year’s Quilt Expo. Their lectures were recorded and are now available for online viewing. If you missed the class or would like to take the class again, watch the lectures at your convenience any time, any day! This Friday and Saturday, October 19 & 20, Frieda and Laura’s classes are 50% off, only $5 each. What a deal! Plus after you purchase the video(s), you may watch them as many times as you’d like!
Frieda writes, I discovered hand dyeing fabric 20 years ago, and I now work almost exclusively with my own hand dyed cottons and silks. I love the dye process, and I particularly enjoy seeing the colors emerge from the wet fabric.
Laura is one of the tenured staff members of the Chicago School of Fusing, a virtual academy where the academic standards rival those of Harvard and Yale! Her lighthearted approach, melodic (yes she sings, and sings well) and comic antidotes are worth the price of admission. But, you’ll also learn about art quilt design and a fresh look at working with fabrics.
