Clover6 in 1Tool

In this age of multi-tasking, your seam guide of choice should be able to do more than provide a single seam allowance. I’d like to introduce you to Clover’s newest go-to seam guide for perfect stitching. This guide offers six different uses in its innovative design. From garment sewing to perfect quilt seams, the 6-in-1 Stick’n Stitch is the tool for the job.

product withoutThese two-piece interlocking guides are ideal shapes with edges created for perfect stitching. The tool is reusable and repositionable with an adhesive on the underside of the guide to work smoothly on any machine. Let me show you the versatility:

1. Straight Stitching

  • Using the grid provided in the packaging, align needle at desired gridline.
  • Insert needle into opening at lower edge.
  • Attach guide along template edge.

This will set your guide up to the exact seam allowance for the project at hand. Narrow seam allowances to wide rod pockets will be easily stitched with the guide in place.

6 in 1 Stick n Stitch Nancy Zieman StraightStitch2. Stitching quilting strips

Keep quilting strips straight and perfectly aligned with a 1/4″ seam allowance by positioning guides on both sides of the fabric. The fabric will feed into the machine without ever wobbling.

6 in 1 Stick n Stitch Nancy Zieman QuiltStrips3. Stitching outer curves

  • Position a curved shape under the presser foot.
  • With the fabric in place, set the guide to a position in front of the foot, touching the curved fabric edge.
  • Stitch a perfect circle, using the guide.

The unique shape of the 6-in-1 Stick’n Stitch lends itself to also make a great guide for inner curves, such as pant seams.

6 in 1 Stick n Stitch Nancy Zieman InnerCurves5. Topstitching along right side

Lock the guides together to create a long guide for topstitching. This is a good tip for machine hemmed garment edges and other topstitched finishing applications.

6 in 1 Stick n Stitch Nancy Zieman Topstitching26. Topstitching along left side

Working from the other side of a project? No problem—simply set the guide on the left side of the machine to create a straight topstitched line.

No matter how many quilts I make, or how hard I try, I simply cannot keep a true 1/4″ seam allowance. It keeps me from making more complex patchwork, which I am craving! I have tried so many different seam guides, but none work as well as needed. I’d love to try this one. It’s so ingenious!

    August 29, 2015

I would use it in quilting as I can’t seem to get accurate seams. My main concern with the 5in 1 is how many times it can be repositioned before the adhesive wears out or loses it adhesiveness and also if it leaves a sticky spot on the machine.

  • Elaine Eckert
    August 29, 2015

This is a great gadget! It solves every “sewing scenario” where straight (or curved) even seams are needed and it looks like you could even stash your pins in it as you sew! Most of all, I wish this product was available when I was learning to top stitch way back in home ec class. One of my projects was an A line jumper with U-shaped patch pockets (very stylish at the time) which I never was able to top stitch to my satisfaction. The 6 in 1 Stick ‘n Stitch Seam Guide would have solved my problem, but I wonder if my teacher would have considered it cheating? Regardless, this product makes sewing easier, faster, and more enjoyable!

This little notion looks like the perfect solution for my sewing projects! I cannot sew a straight line, despite years of practice! I would probably use this while sewing most of my projects, but I can see it being most useful when sewing curvy items, such as sleeves, facings, and circular bags and totes. I am in the process of making curtains, and this little gadget would be a HUGE help with them!

  • Sharon Green

A great tool for group projects. If everyone in the guild had one on their machine, we could achieve a consistent seam allowance for completing a group quilt project where everyone works on the same quilt. All machines are different and those quarter inch seams don’t always match up.

These would be so helpful as I have so much trouble with my eyesight even with my glasses on. I usually have trouble when I’m eyeing the fabric and presser foot to keep the fabric even that my eyes get tired and things get a bit blurry which then causes me to move the fabric making the seam lines uneven. I may have to give these a try. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Marsha Lawrence
    August 29, 2015

My friend in Florida sent me a video of her demoing one of these in a quilt shop and I’ve been in love and dying to get my hands on one. It’s exactly what I need to be able to topstitch in a straight line on my handbag handles. Right now, it’s a nightmare of unpicking every time I do a handle. This has got to be the best thing since Wonder Clips, maybe even since the sewing machine.

  • V csmith
    August 29, 2015

    August 29, 2015

I am always looking for gadgets to help improve my sewing. Currently, I use a tape strip which I can reposition, but it’s so flat that fabric can easily move on top of it. This looks sturdy and easier to align with my sewing machine markings. I have trouble getting accurate 1/4 inch seams when quilting and I think this would be a great help.

  • Wendy
    August 29, 2015

Oh, at long last! This should help me make the perfect seams when quilting. I have tried everything from painters’ tape as a guide to a huge pile of sticky notes to make a ledge to sew against. I could really use this!

  • Ruth Lutz
    August 29, 2015

Despite many, many years of sewing, I have never learned to properly keep my seam allowances straight and even! Frankly, it’s a bit embarrassing to admit this, but sometimes the truth hurts! This looks like the tool for me… No more wobbly seam allowances to mar my otherwise lovely sewing projects!

  • Dorothy
    August 29, 2015

The thing I miss most about my new machine is that I can’t use my old Singer stitch guide that screwed into the plate. I’ve tried using tape and marking with magic marker, but the guide was the best thing. It could be adjusted to any width and could be adjusted for curves. Your new guide looks to be the next best thing.

  • Louise
    August 29, 2015

This guide would be so helpful in stitching quarter inch seams for quilting. And I would use it when making my husband’s shirts.(I make just about all his shirts)

  • Pat
    August 29, 2015

My main use would be to do the “scant quarter inch” seam required for accurate quilting. Specialty feet and nice but a little less that a quarter inch is what is required. From Nancy’s description this guide can be set for that.

  • Patricia Connell
    August 29, 2015

After years of making men and boys underwear and PJs I still struggle with the curved area beneath the fly – the new notion looks like the answer to making the curve neat each time. There were times that I felt like eliminating the fly all together! That would have made 1 husband and four sons a bit unhappy.

  • Marilyn Cooeland
    August 29, 2015

Even after many years of sewing, curved stitching as in armhole and crotch seams cam still be a challenge for me to sew accurately the first time. The Stick-n-stitch looks to be the go to tool for that and other guide needs as well! I love it when one tool serves many needs.

I have one of these. I was disappointed that the grid you use to position your needle is clear and it is very hard to see where to lower your needle. Perhaps if you made the openings black or red that would improve the product for those of us with eyes less than sharp than that of eagles. I will keep it and use it for sewing around curves.Just giving a heads up. Sorry about this.Otherwise your service is exceptional at Nancy’s Notions. I used your expert sewers service and she gave me wonderful advise for a project and I able to successfuly complete it that afternoon. Maybe it’s just me. Heavy sigh.

Also something that would help me cut my fabric straight. I am a quilter and love quilting. I am confused with the curved plate you have demonstrated. My Grand daughter has just graduated from High School & started a job while going to College. I had an one old strait stitch sewing machine in my shed. I cleaned it up & gave her to learn how to sew. If I had one of these I would give it to her instead of keeping it for myself. She is doing really good, especially when I found out she didn’t have her seams together. She ripped them out & redid them on her own! She has been sewing up a storm learning before she purchases a NEW ONE!!!

This 6 in 1 guide looks like a wonderful item to help be.ginner sewers learn how to s,e, am numerous items in more ways than one. It would benefit many childre.n and adults learn to eew the different seam allowances, which will help increase their creative minds to sew things they never thought they would ever beable to stitch on a machine.

    September 29, 2015

I held my first needle at age 6. Sewed on my first sewing machine at age 7 (it was a chain stitch treadle). When I was still struggling with my desire to be a better seamstress I met Nancy on public television on her very first year! I haven’t stopped learning and I have a collection many of the wonderful gadgets I have found through you, Nancy! This is one more I must have!! I still need help with my narrow and curved seams as I am now making purses and bags. In fact my next project is a diaper bag for my latest great grandson!

This product looks intriguing and think eventually I’d use it for most of the ideas shown here, but I’d start out with using it as a quarter inch guide. And I really do like the idea it can be used for garments as well.

    October 15, 2015

I picture myself sewing strips for quilts while sitting back reading a book, pedal to the metal. No more having to hold those strips trying to keep them straight while I sew.
Wouldn’t it be great when sewing the crotch seams in slacks to finally have an even, no wobbly seam. Last of all being able to sew the drunkard’s path quilt blocks, with inner and outer curved seams, and not look like it was sewn by a drunk. What a treat.
