August block is simple and dramatic! Love it!

I love the August block but I’m a little confused: the August directions say to begin using our “light” block background fabric (they use Tonal Taupe). However, in the initial supplies list tonal taupe was listed as a “medium” background fabric. I bought all of my dark, medium and light fabrics based on the choices given back in January . So is this a mistake? Should the block background be Light or Medium for the August block? Thanks.

Looking good. Wish I had the time to try it. I will apply your technique to use short stitching on my curves. Back to work, school begins soon & there is a lot of prep!

I don’t know if I will do an entire chain link quilt but I will for sure try a few samples using leftover fabric just to see how it turns out. Thanks for the info.

I really like that the chain is softer that a traditional “chain” block constructed with all squares. The “Curves” add appeal!

Really want more information regarding the “Let’s Do Business” project. Scoured your website but missing any mention of it. Please help. Lifeskills are desperately needed by our last couple of generations. The idea that women in Africa are benefiting makes this program even more appealing.

Was going to use light fabric as background. My medium is very busy! Will that effect the last blocks? Is the fabric you used still available? How many more blocks will there be. Trying hard not to have another UFQ! Enjoying the challenge! Barbara
