Sew-A-Scarf Challenge

The Nancy Zieman Sew-A-Scarf Challenge voting date is here!

To celebrate the arrival of spring, I challenged readers to sew a scarf and enter the Sew-A-Scarf Challenge.

Sew-A-Scarf challenge participants were challenged to start with a little fabric and add as much creativity as they’d like. Any pattern/directions were eligible or no sewing pattern at all! All sewing, quilting, serging, machine embroidery, and embellishment techniques could be used! For inspiration, I recommended the Sensational Scarves Book and DVD or to watch Sensational Scarvespart 1 and part 2 online.

Challenge participants posted a photo of their scarf (up to three) by Wednesday May 16, on the Nancy Zieman Sew-A-Scarf Challenge Flickr Site. View full-size images on the Nancy Zieman Sew-A-Scarf Challenge Flickr Site :

Thanks for sharing your favorite scarf project after my post on May 12. The random winner of a Sensational Scarves DVD from Nancy’s Notions is Ann Hudson: I love the quickness of #3 Super-Quick Cascading Scarf and I love the technique of today’s #6 The Spring Green Scarf, I think the spiraling effect is beautiful. It’s just too hard to pick one Nancy!
