LOVE THE “SEW FOR FUN” PROJECTS.
I love teaching my granddaughter how to sew. She enjoys it so much.
I love the idea of sewing with my grandchildren. This is a very stress free approach to sewing with kids. Fantastic ideas for young ones (and me too) and such a great help to get started! I really like the Stuffed Animal Sleeping Bag. My granddaughter will love to make that one.
I loved all the sites. Love the embroidery sets. Thank you all for sharing you wonderful talents with the next generation of sewers.
What a great way to encourage kids to spend time creating. They are lovely b
I am trying to teach my granddaughter to sew. Unfortunately we do not live close enough to be able to complete a project before the attention span ends. Maybe I need some help by using some of these products.
I am teaching my granddaughter to sew, I am sure she would love this. It was fun to see the sewists and their littles…
I Love the Clover tools and would love to win them since these are new items that I don’t have but would sure find them helpful.
Sewing 2 quilt right now for my granddaughters and hoping that will instill a love of sewing…
This line of tools looks so user friendly!! That’s so helpful when you’re first getting started.
I love this collection and can’t wait to teach my new grandson to sew!
This is so fun! I want to get my 5 yr old granddaughter hooked.
These tools look special for little granddaughters to learn to sew.
What I like about Nancy’s tools is that they are tested by people who actually use them. They work the way they should!
Really cool books and notions. Cool blog hop. Have a fun day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
This line is such an awesome addition to Nancy’s legacy! I just got my 6 year old a sewing machine for Christmas, and we’ll definitely be following the book and getting some of the motions to make learning to sew fun and easy!
What fun to be able to encourage the love of sewing with the younger generations
I am really looking forward to teaching my granddaughter to sew. The book and notions look wonderful. I’m thankful to my grandmother for teaching my mom and aunt how to sew. My mom instilled a love of fabric in me and my aunt was there to guide me through difficult sewing challenges. Nancy has left a legacy that will positively impact many people now and in the future.
Hello,
Last week we worked over some large pillows that the girls (my granddaughters I am raising) have had for a long time. They picked fleece they liked and we added a few decorations a heart on one a diamond shape on the other, sewed the shapes on a piece of fleece that was then sewn into a pillow cover for the pillows. They. We’re so excited. The girls first learned to do hand sewing when they were 4 and 5 years old. They later began to have other sewing that built on hand sewing skills. Now they have a sewing machine and they love designing items and sewing for their pleasure. Good skills. They are 11 and 12 years old. The oldest has been having finger close to needle problems. I hope she doesn’t sew her finger but, the tools you have spoken of in your topic paragraph would be wonderful assets to our sewing table. Happy sewing everyone!
Take care Gwen Snyder
I love this project! My girl is about to turn 6 and recently has interest in sitting and watching me sew. I’m excited to use this book and tools!
I teach sewing to kids and Nancy’s input is sure to be helpful. I”m ordering the book now. It’s so hard to see her sewing with her grandkids. I’m sure they miss her like crazy.
My little granddaughter would love all of these neat tools!
What a great way to teach my granddaughter how to sew. She has enjoyed helping me and is about ready to start doing it herself.
My mother taught me to sew when I was younger and now My children love to help my mom or myself sew. My kids are 7 and 5 and we try to include them in projects as often as possible.
I can’t wait to sew with my Granddaughters!
These are just what I need. My 5 year old grandson starting helping me sew by sitting on my lap picking decorate stitches for his pj pants hems, and now he can make a pair of pj pants all by himself. He would love his own sewing tools!
These are such useful products for teaching our children how to sew. I have been working with one of my granddaughters last weekend and had so much fun with her.
This book and notions look like just the things I need to help me teach my daughter!
This would be so perfect for sewing with my daughter!!! I love the safe presser foot idea!!!
I have been teaching my niece to quilt, she does have the basics of sewing. My quilt guild has a Tea yearly to teach area kids to sew.
I really like the seam guide. I could use one of those right along with my granddaughter. Also would love to get the book Flying Sewing Machine. All would be a great add to my sewing room.
Wow way to go keeping a the crafting skills going……. [email protected]
Love all of these products made to help young sewers learn how to sew with tools designed especially to help them love sewing and turn out a great project. Thanks for the chance to win on of these great tools.
The designs would be very useful and would catch the interest of young girls I have taught my granddaughters to learn to sew and embroidery on my machine. They would love the projects you have talked about.
These are all great products. I am very excited about “The Flying Sewing Machine” by Nancy! What fantastic ideas this whole line inspires!
Wonderful blog hop and fabulous giveaway prizes, thank for sharing! It is always fun to teach young people new skills and sewing is a must, thanks for all the inspiration!
I loved this entire line of products the second I first saw it! What an amazing help to enable teaching my granddaughter how to sew. I have wanted to teach her, but was really afraid of her little fingers near the powerful and very fast machine I have. Years ago these machines didn’t run quite as fast as they do now. Now I am excited that I will be able to work with her and thankfully this one lives just 5 minutes from our house so she will be able to come over often hopefully.
So glad to see sewing passed on to the young ones.
I love seeing the excitement on children’s faces as they learn to create and sew. The I Sew For Fun sounds like a great way to introduce children to sewing. I’m looking forward to teaching our grandsons to sew. Our granddaughters already enjoy sewing.
My 7 year old granddaughter recently asked if I would show her how to sew. She wanted to start hand sewing some of my smaller “scraps” together – a good start I have to say. Looking forward to the next time she gets to spend the night so Grammie can teach some machine sewing.
This would be wonderful to teach my 3 granddaughters to sew! What fun we would have.
My 2 grandchildren and I have sewn for their Elves on the Shelves, the elves’ reindeer, baby blankets and stuffed frogs. I cherish those times together.
i LOVE THIS IDEA!,,I have 6yr old granddaughter and grandson who i would love to teach and sew with!
Lots of wonderful products and ideas.
These tools would be wonderful for my granddaughters. They visit every summer and I am teaching them to sew. Last year my oldest (7) granddaughter made a quilt on my sewing machine by herself. This year I hope to teach her to sew doll clothes. Thank you for all of the inspiration.
A wonderful hop – I have and still watch Nancy on her TV shows & the ones that I have recorded-so many helpful tips & how-tos! Thank you, Susan
I am just starting sewing with one of my granddaughters and it is such fun!
What a wonderful legacy for Nancy–bringing generations closer together, teaching kids how to sew and do something they know is useful.
Such great products geared for kids!
My 8 year old grandson loves to use my sewing machine. I have a hard time finding patterns and projects that boys would like to make. Super hero capes and quilts are fun but he wants to make so much more!
IF only my granddaughter had the staying power of the young ones sewing in the videos. She wants to sew however slowing down to learn the machine and ins/outs of safety is not her strong suit. Next visit we will try again.
Would like to add any of these gadgets to the granddaughters sewing tools.
Oh and I have spent an evening with one of my six grandsons teaching him sewing basics on his great grandmother’s Singer
Last winter I was ready to trash my heavy winter coat due to broken zipper. Then I decided to try Nancy’s method of zipper replacement. So very pleased with the results!! last winter was mild and I rarely wore the coat. This winter has been more normal and the coat is again my go to. So every time I zip it I think of Nancy and her wonderful legacy. As well my own mother, sisters, home ec. teachers and Nancy for teaching me the art of sewing.
I was taught by my grandma to sew by hand, crochet, knit, repair (anything as it was post WWII) so nothing was discarded. Collars and cuffs removed, buttons, zips. Spoken items unravelled and made new again. Even paper and string! I loved every moment and 50 years she’s been gone and I remember so I spend all the time I have with my granddaughters. There is no mine and theirs anything in the craft room is to be used. Grandpa bought a Pfaff for them and now they design for their own clothes or presents and it is such an unexpected joy the day we were sitting finishing our work by hand stitching when Zianna my 9 year old out of the blue says ‘nanna this is so wonderful it’s relaxing and a bit like meditation’. I have truly been blessed. So my girls are 9 / 7 /4 /3. I made them learn all the features, read and explain to me the safety features and gave them some fabric and let them sew minus a needle! I did this so they could understand how fast it can stitch with too much pressure and when they were able to explain to me and point out everything to be careful with they were given their needle lol.
I want some of these items myself, but can’t wait to read the Flying Sewing Machine book.
Trying to get my granddaughter (just turns 14 tomorrow) interested in sewing. We made a tote bag together which she really liked. One grandson made pot holders, the other made placemats using super hero fabric. The boys (age 9) love to use the sewing machine.
I love sewing with my great niece. We have been sewing together for 5 years. I especially like the products designed for smaller hands. They would work great for my arthritic hands.
Wish my grandchildren lived closer to teach them but since they’re not, I have some “adopted” grandchildren who come frequently and I’m teaching them. The boys are even more interested than the girls. It’s a surprise to me and their parents.
Sew look forward to using these with my granddaughters!
Great ideas to teach my granddaughters!
All useful products to have when sewing.
I would love it if my grandchildren would love to sew, but boys are so hard to pin down at an early age. I learned at my mother’s side when I was about 5 years old. Great new inventions since then and I would love to have any one of them.
Everyone learns from teaching others, especially children.
Wow what a great collections of sewing necessities. Love to see the young generation get in the sewing groove.
Great ideas to teach my grandchildren.
What a great book!
One granddaughter now sewing and three more in the running. Love “I sew for fun”!
Kids are so much fun to teach. They are eager to learn.
Fun and useful items!
I hope to have as much fun with my little stitchers as these big partners are having. Hopefully the kids will learn to love sewing as much as I do.
I love the new farmhouse prints!
