Nancy Zieman is president and producer of Nancy Zieman Productions. Nancy is an author, pattern designer, business woman, home economist, and national sewing authority. Nancy is the producer and host of the popular show Sewing With Nancy®, which appears exclusively on public television stations across the United States and Canada. In each episode Nancy offers step-by-step instructions for the newest techniques in sewing, quilting and home decorating in a how-to format. Sewing With Nancy® is a co-production of Wisconsin Public Television and Nancy Zieman Productions. Broadcast since September 1982, the program is the longest-airing sewing series on television.

Nancy has written numerous books. Her most recent books with Krause Publications/F+W Media include the popular “Confidence” series: Sew with Confidence, Machine Embroidery with Confidence, Serge with Confidence, Quilt with Confidence, and Pattern Fitting with Confidence.

Nancy also designs patterns for the New York-based McCall Pattern Company. Her distinctive patterns are found under the Sewing With Nancy® collection. She offers fresh creative fashion and home decor ideas, along with timesaving construction tips.

Nancy is a dedicated art quilter. She started sewing and quilting at the age of 10 and hasn’t stopped. Her favorite creative outlet is landscape quilting, introduced, and taught to her by Natalie Sewell, renowned landscape artist. Together Nancy and Natalie have written three books, Landscape Quilting, Landscape Quilts for Kids and The Art of Landscape Quilting. Natalie has been a guest on Sewing with Nancy®, teaching the quilting and sewing world on numerous occasions the step by step process of landscape quilting. Nancy is founder of Nancy’s Notions®, a division of Tacony Corporation. The company publishes the Nancy’s Notions® Catalog, a full color catalog containing hundreds of products including sewing books, notions, videos and DVDs, fabrics, and quilting products. Nancy is also the National Spokesperson for Baby Lock sewing machines and Nancy’s Notions®. 

In addition, Nancy produces commercials, DVD’s, and streaming video segments for web sites.

She was named the 1988 Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by the Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs Association. In 1991, she received the National 4-H Alumni Award.

Nancy lives in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, with her family.
